Boomerang Loans

One of the very last projects that I got to work on as an intern at Door Number 3 was developing a logo and identity for a new company named Boomerang. Here are some of my early design concepts and logos that I got to present:

This project was especially exciting because I got to see it go from start to finish. The company ended up choosing my last logo (above) and the web programmers quickly got to work putting it into the new website (below). Click on the image below to see their new website with my logo!!!

FlipIt.org

This was definitely my most favorite project at Door Number 3 this summer (probably because of all the freedom I had with it).
The agency wanted to come up with an easy and attention-grabbing way to promote energy conservation, so they decided on the idea of doing light switch stickers that could be easily passed out and posted throughout popular Austin hot spots. It was up to me to come up with something that would be appealing to the Austin crowd as well as standout from other posters and ads. These are some early concept ideas I came up with:

Below are the final stickers. Make sure to keep your eye out because they should start popping up around Austin soon!!

"RES" Resurection: The Official Anti-Hangover Drink

Res
is a new anti-hangover drink that's looking for a new identity in order to make themselves more appealing to a younger age group. With twenty-somethings as the target audience I designed these logos and cans in the style of popular energy drinks. I wanted to use the type and illustration to convey the idea of having both a good night and a good morning.

Here's a link to the Res website with their current packaging.

Headstand

As an intern at Door Number 3 I got the chance to work on a lot of pro bono work for the agency. One of these projects was to design the logo and identity for a non-profit organization called Headstand, a spa and relaxation center for female cancer patients. Headstand wanted to stress the idea of a circle and how life has the ability to turn itself upside down and then right back up again. These are a few of the logos I presented that play with the circle theme.

DN3 Book Bootcamp

Every year Door Number 3 offers a 10 week intensive course designed to help students and young professionals perfect their portfolio books in the hopes of landing their dream design job! I designed these military style logos for this years incoming 2010 class.

The Highland Lakes

This was one of my very first projects as an intern at Door Number 3 in Austin, TX. The small city of Burnett, TX (located about an hour-ish outside of Austin) was looking to re-brand their entire identity in order to make themselves more appealing to tourist. With 5 lakes in their city limits they wanted to emphasize the idea of recreation and water sports. So, after doing some research I decided to go with a retro-summer camp feel for their overall branding. I really felt this captured the fun and simplicity that this town is known for. Here are few options I came up with that were presented to the city...
